Leslie: It’s gonna be a long night so I got you some energy drinks, and some chocolate covered espresso beans. And the book Freedom by Jonathan Franzen.
Ann: Why am I reading this?
Leslie: Because I’m almost done with it, Ann! And I wanna talk to you about Patty!

LESLIE KNOPE, IT’S LIKE YOU KNEW I FINISHED FREEDOM THE DAY BEFORE THIS EPISODE AIRED. I want to talk about Patty too. Although even more I want to talk about Richard, and specifically: Is Richard partially based on David Foster Wallace? Because I think so.
