Link: Why tea partiers are relegated to lowercase status
On more than one occasion, I’ve been asked — at times, rather pointedly — whether the Journal & Courier isn’t guilty of demonstrating a political bias by not using a capital “T” and “P” when we write about the activities of the tea party. After all, the Democrats and Republicans get the full proper noun treatment. Why do they get caps and not the tea partyers?
